Where Brighter Days Are In Your Hands
A Place to Reset Rebuild & Reenter Society with Purpose
Clarine’s House is a transitional home in Bertie County, North Carolina, created for individuals returning to the community after incarceration. We believe that reentry should not begin with struggle; it should begin with support, structure, and opportunity.
Founded by Erik Parker, a retired Probation & Parole Officer, Clarine’s House was built from firsthand experience. After many years of working with justice-involved individuals navigating reentry, Erik witnessed the same challenges over and over again: people returning home without stable housing, without guidance, and without the resources needed to succeed. Clarine’s House exists to change that narrative.
Here, residents are not just given a place to temporarily reside; they are given a path forward.
Through safe housing, structured support, and access to employment and life-building resources, Clarine’s House helps individuals move from instability to independence. Residents are supported in developing the skills, habits, and mindset necessary to build a sustainable future.
